DAR members are women who have many interests and different backgrounds. Their common bond is their lineal descent from Patriots of the American Revolution.
Any woman 18 years or older who meets the requirements listed below is eligible to join the DAR.
— she must establish lineal, bloodline descent from an ancestor who participated in achieving American independence, and
— she must provide clear, accurate, and verifiable documentation that support her relationship with her Patriot ancestor.
